Hello, I have a nice Albertype PC of Bishop's Lodge New Mexico. Back reads hand colored Albertype Co. and a brief description of the image. From my research it seems Albertype began in 1910 (?) and ended in 1952. From the clothing these folks are wearing, I'm guessing this would be 1940's. Does anyone know of a good website that shows era clothing? Anyhow... here is the PC. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I'd agree with your date. (I'm no expert, though--born in the '60s. . . )But look at that girl sitting on the post in left center. Would also like to share this site: http://www.writersdreamtools.com/view/decades/default.asp?Decade=1650 it's a bit too general for your needs here, but has many handy historical insights for what was popular/innovative in each decade from the 1650s to the 1990s. You'll find music, fashion, slang, etc. No pictures but it may help someone sometime with something 🙂

"East Lodge: This lodge, located slightly east of the Central Lodge, was built in the 1920’s. During the economically depressed years of the Thirties, this building was one of several leased to the now-defunct Brownmoor School for Girls, a private preparatory school for young women." from the Bishop's Lodge website. One of their buildings burned in 2002, so perhaps tey would be interested inthe postcard view. Anyway, they do have some good history on their site. - Terry (in Albuquerque).

Help with dating an Albertype

My first proposal for world domination is that everyone that knows me can have free ebay fees for life. My second proposal is: everyone has to make something out of rubbish in their houses, to get in touch with their inner child - and therfore make the planet less cluttered and more friendly. My third proposal is: Let the oldtimers have their own Disneyland designed exactly as they want and keep all the kids out. My Fourth proposal: No queues at themeparks My Fifth Proposal: Free food for everyone, and chocolate on Sundays My Sixth proposal: No Polititans I am open to suggestions for further improvements to the planet - I would like Old Ma Nature back on the team too!

As an aside, the girls in the lab upstairs at work point out that chocolate grows from the ground and is therefore a vegetable (some though claim it is a fruit since it grows on trees). Either way the government tells us we are supposed to eat five portions each day to stay healthy. They therefore conclude that it is their duty to help our ailing health service by eating at least five portion of chocolate each day. They cannot be persuaded otherwise! Paul

Hey, I like you're guys reasonning ESPECIALLY the part about chocolate. My only proposal to enhance your plan would be to make number one e-BAY fees AND paypal fees...oh and that you make sure e-Bay fixes all its ''englitchments''. Just puttn' my suggestions in the world dominator's suggestion box. CAS
