On Sept. 10, 2020 eBay withdrew a few hundred dollars out of my paypal balance account.
When I accidentally found the mysterious charge on my paypal account did contact paypal
to inquire about the nature of that charge but they couldn't answer what was that charge all
about except that ebay had a contract to take money out of ebay sellers account and washed their hands off recommending to contact ebay for details. However, there is a transaction ID number
and an order number but under the purchase order where supposedly the actual transaction took place is blank.
I have a printout of that unknown, questionable transaction but don't know how and where to start probing.
Also I checked my purchase history and found no activities before, during and after Sept. the 10th.
Could someone please tell me how do I go about looking for the order number on my eBay pages to see if
that number even exists.
Thank you in advance for your inputs!
Matt

As rarely as I recommend it, yours (a few hundred dollars?!!) sounds like a problem for eBay. I'd have already called.

Have you reviewed your Seller Invoice to see if there is an entry there for a payment by you via PP?

But eBay phone lines are on voice mail system, is there a way to call a live person on eBay?

I don't know what it is and paypal agents (two of them) said the $202.40 only has the order number with transaction ID number and nothing else. That is why I am frustrated.
If there is a way to contact eBay live person, how do I make it happen.
Thank you !

Thank you!

Here is how you can contact eBay.
Try using Facebook or Twitter, that worked for me.
You can send an email message to eBay. Not sure if email is working. It is hit and miss due to COVID-19. I just used it on Aug 11, 2020 and got a reply and solution to a problem I found here on eBay. I was shocked. I used it again on Aug 26, 2020 and got a call and they took care of an eBay issue.
Here is the link:
The email option is at the bottom of the link. Or you can reach out to customer service using social media:
Social media worked for me. I received an answer and resolution to my issue fairly quickly. The CSR ended up calling me. It wouldn't hurt to leave a contact number.
You can also try to get phone support by visiting any help topic page, scroll down to the bottom of the page to the call back option. Click on the option and you should get a message that you will get a call back with the estimated time.
Be advised that this option is not available 24/7. If you try a time that is not eBay’s normal business hours the option may not be there or your call back will be take longer. I recommend trying this option in the morning California time.
Hope this helps!

Actually I just checked my Sept. invoice but didn't see any $202.4 deduction.

Is there a way to see if the order number left on paypal does exists on my eBay or not?

There's no way to do a search on an order number, no. That doesn't mean there's no way to find it.
That PayPal transaction sounds like a purchase that was processed by eBay Managed Payments. They are shown like this in your Paypal activity summary, and when you view the details of the transaction, it says that it was for a Purchase, from eBay, but there are no details about the seller or the item.
So, you need to look through your Purchase History for a purchase of that amount, and you should find it there. The seller you have received a lot of feedback for purchases from, is now in Managed Payments, but they may have been switched to MP recently, so that would have been a change.
If you don't find it there, then here's how to view your seller invoices:

@matt_maj ... I think @lacemaker3 has ^^^ the right idea. I believe it is a purchase you've made with an MP seller.
