I logged back into eBay after a long hiatus to start selling again. However, eBay insists that I must link my bank account. I login to my bank account from eBay's website. Everything confirms, but then the page asks me to confirm my bank details. Everything is correct so I hit CONTINUE and I get this error message:
"Something isn't right. Please double-check the info on this page."
I contacted eBay support and the rep says that I need to register for a seller account. (What???) I am already registered and have been for years. They clearly do not understand the problem even after trying to explain it multiple times. The rep asks for a screenshot and then finally realizes they have no idea what they are doing, and they need to escalate. I am informed that it will take 3 days for them to try to fix it, but after those 3 days they will not contact me or notify me. I will just need to try again and figure it out on my own and call them back if the issue still persists. (Not looking forward to trying to explain the issue AGAIN to someone who has NO CLUE).
I am pretty amazed that the process for this seems to be so complicated and that the customer service is so bad. I wanted to sell on this platform, and I hope I still can, but I am nervous after trying to find the solution to this problem that there seems to be no answers and a "wait and see" attitude from customer service.
Has anyone else had any similar issues with the website or with customer service? I'm hoping it's just me and that someone at eBay "might" fix the problem we are having but I am open to any advice.

I was told by ebay that they would not work with my bank. They would not give me any more information. I had to open a new bank account to use eBay.

oh my god that is totally ridiculous.
eBay has nothing to do with the bank system, and now somehow they try to get involved in.
