PayPal was eBay's payments processor for about 18 years.

Yes, I have used it first started. Are you going to start selling? If yes, ALL sellers must enrolled in MANAGED PAYMENTS. Buyers pay Ebay using paypal, credit cards, bank funds, Apple Pay, etc. and ebay takes their commissions and the state sales tax and sends the seller the balance. A seller NEVER ever knows how a buyer paid. You will NEVER get an email from PAYPAL that buyer paid. If you see one, it's a fraudulent email. Today, a seller can ONLY get a payment through Managed Payments.
If you plan on selling too , never ever exchange phone numbers or email addresses with a buyer. You will pay a seller through the EBAY PAY NOW button found on the listing that you won. If a seller asks you to use paypal to pay them directly, that is AGAINST EBAY policy. Feel free to tell that seller to stuff the item where the sun does not shine and report him to Ebay. A seller CAN NOT request Paypal directly. You can still use it but by paying through the ebay system. A buyer can NOT ask a seller for their email address either.

I should point out that articles on eBay's transition from PayPal to Managed Payments for payment processing suggest--at least the way I read them--that PayPal may be phased out as a payment method on eBay in 2023.

Thank you for sharing...I had no idea. It wouldn't surprise me. From what I've read in the past Ebay and Paypal had somewhat of a difficult divorce. I personally miss Paypal. I'm not a big seller so when I got paid instantly, it was very convenient for me and I'm sure for many others.
Thanks again.
Happy New Year.
