payment missing ...

Hi, 

I would really appreciate advice.

A month ago I sold a bilke and the payment was made via ebay.

On September 13, ebay claims the funds were sent to my bank account.

However, the bank (a big name High Street bank) says it has no record of the payment, and no funds are showing on my account.

Here's the poblem:

- eBay helpline operator inists that the funds were sent and that the "bank reference number" proves it.

- the bank says that it can only search by date/amount, and therefore the bank refernece number does not prove anything

How do I resolve this and get my money?

Or should I go cash-only in future?

What you need to do is go to your Seller Hub.  Hover over the Payment Tab.  From the drop down menu select Payouts.

On your screen will be the recent Payouts sent to your bank account.  On the right side of the screen will be a column called MEMO.  There you will find the Bank Reference number.

Your bank should and CAN track the payment by the Bank Reference number.

You can't go to "cash only" unless you are doing local pick ups only.
