payment issue

Hi All;

I'm trying to pay for a lap top and when i checkout, i get the following message:

Your payment didn't go through.  Please check the payment info you entered or select a different payment option.

But when i checkout for other items; I have no issues with payment.

You say the payment is for a laptop -- could you be running into a credit limit? That might allow you to make smaller purchases but stop a larger one. I ran into this situation with a corporate card due to a billing snafu at one point.

If you are certain there is no limit involved, there may be an issue on eBay's end or the seller's end. Once in a while I find a seller that cannot accept an Amex card purchase through eBay for some reason, though other cards seem to work just fine.

@banz-0

Is the seller located in the US? If they are not, they may not ship to the US.  You might want to contact the seller just to be sure. Can you post the item number?

Thanks for the reply.

Yeas I don't have any issues buying other items which are not expensive but the lap top is expensive.

Will stop by my bank and check my credit card.

Thanks.

That item hasn't been sold. It's not in the seller's sold list. You can't  pay on eBay until you hit the buy button.  The listing is still active so not sure how you're  trying to pay.

Beware of warranty claims. There is no link in the listing that takes you to the full written text of the warranty, which is required under eBay's warranty policy. APPLE won't warranty that $2600 laptop if the seller isn't  an authorized distributor (like Best Buy). You should check with Apple to see if the warranty is transferable before you buy it. It's  only good on eBay for 30 days. eBay can't  make sellers stand behind warranty claims.

@fab_finds4u

I checked out the sellers ID.  Sold a lot of digitally delivered goods in the past, all removed but still shows in feedback and is still selling? Look at their merchandise, high dollar shoes, electronics, gaming items, etc.  All open box...looks fishy to me.  I would avoid this seller at all costs. Not really the norm of a 21 year old account... I smell a rat.
