Did you mean:

no more paypal and i will save 2.9% bullcrap

you tell me on the phone that i HAVE TO switch to the new managed system for payment and tell me on the phone that im going to save 2.9%

WHAT YOU DONT TELL PEOPLE  is that the fees are going from 10% to 12.35% + 30 cents per transaction

so to tell me im going to save 2.9% is an OUTRIGHT LIE  when in reality i will be saving around ONE HALF PERCENT... once this goes fully in to effect YOU WILL LOSE THIS 20 YEAR CUSTOMER  with nearly 1100 positive feedback .. 1100 may be small to you BUT as a private non business seller it is quite a lot...

The numbers are more complex than that actually, review this page Selling fees for managed payments sellers | eBay

It's not like these numbers are hidden though, this topic has been beaten to death on the forums for many months already.

How are the buyers inconvenienced, unless you're one that won't ship until the funds are in your checking account.

Most buyers won't notice any difference.

Have a great day.

@fj1200rocks

Ebay has been pretty clear about the fees.  Perhaps you misheard something on the phone.

seriously, I much prefer MP to PayPal.

Just because ebay is clear about their fees, doesn't make it right. If they say "we are now charging 75%", would you say, they told you upfront .....

Yes, I would.  eBay offers a deal to potential sellers.  I take that deal - it is a choice.

I hear ya. But I understand people coming here and **bleep**ing about it because they just noticed they are paying way more then they thought.  And they're told stop beating a dead horse, you're the 10,000th person to ask this.... even though they've never been here before.

Since MP is a complete pack of **bleep**, it needs to continue to be beaten to death on these forums.

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR perhaps their customer service rep was uninformed AS USUAL  ..

lets face it  the words 3% sound nothing like .65%  and quite frankly i dont think i will take advice from someone that has less than 1 year  and 17 total feedback on the ebay site..

they are going to bury themselves... my personal information was hacked years ago and the PAYPAL go between was a firewall that i happily paid 3% for and i dont like the idea of ebay having direct access to my  " ebay / paypal only  " checking account ... im not about to open another account just for ebay to stick their fingers in especially when most banks require a minimum balance or you have to pay a monthly fee..

i like thousands of others will be hitting the road once it officially goes in to effect..... lets see how THAT affects their bottom line at the end of their fiscal year
