it will not let me link my chime checking account to ebay and it will not let me cash out via paypal

can anyone help me figure out why chime will not link to get the money from my sold items. i have tried to link my chime account several times and it says not working at this time. I have read on other articles that people have been able to link their chime account for payout.

A couple of posters have had issues with Chime. Just posting what I know. Chime is not a Bank.

Chime is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services provided by, and debit card issued by, The Bancorp Bank or Stride Bank, N.A.;

Check this number:

Chime Routing Number 103100195: What Is It? Chime routing number 103100195 is from Chime partner which is the Stride Bank, N. A. to facilitate the direct deposits of your paycheck into your Chime account.

Bancorp: 031101114

Make sure your information is EXACT as it is on both records.

I, too, have seen some post it was OK, and others could not get Chime to work...all i know for sure is Chime is not a conventional bank

You need a checking account through a real bank, Chime isn't a bank.

eBay is the only one who can "help figure out why chime will not link".  Please don't try holding your breath until they do.

The only thing other members can tell you is:

1. Chime is on the eBay list when choosing your bank.

2. Connecting to chime through eBay does not work until it does work (trying to connect to Chime through eBay 3 times a day for up to 3 weeks may work for you. It has worked for other members).

3. Chime works great once connected to eBay.

When I spoke to eBay, they walked me through a couple ways to add account. Didn’t work. She said that a ticket would be opened with IT department. 24-48 hrs and that others are having issue. I’ve Lao tried 2 others banks. Same error. Frustrating

the sad part is that i had chime working fine and i switched to another account but now that i'm trying to go back to chime i'm having the same issues

Here's an alternative option if you don't want to add your personal bank account to the managed payments pay out or Chime is not working for you:

Get a Walmart Green dot card.

Use it only for your ebay transactions.  It's free to order on line, provides a bank and routing number and is perfectly legitimate.  I use one for my ebay transactions and a separate one for my other sites.  I have used it for years and with no problems.  You'll see ebay accepts as a bank.  There's is a monthly fee, but nothing over the  top.  If you deposit so much money a month,  Green dot will waive.  They did for me.

Give it a shot.

Well you can get direct deposit on chime so if you can get paid through your job you should be able to get paid through selling items on eBay .

I opened a Chime account specifically because several users previously reported successfully linking Chime for payments. I have also been unable to link it; last time I tried was today (6/8/22). I spoke with eBay representatives on three occasions; the rep today said eBay cannot link to Chime because it is online only and eBay cannot verify bank details (even though I have a routing # and acct #). The impression I got is that the bank has to have a brick-and-mortar presence although I may have misunderstood. In any case that has been my very-frustrating experience.

Are you located in the US? If not, I don't think you can apply for one, as you need a SSN# and be 18 yrs old to receive one.

Also, the name and all info on the card must match your ebay account exactly. Check into that as well.

I started to add direct deposit from my work to Chime but then I read that you shouldn't use your primary account to sell online.

Chime is listed as a Bank you can add but I'm receiving this error after entering all details "We couldn't verify this bank account. Please select a different payment method."   PLEASE FIX
