eBay "managed" payment system

Since 2006, eBay always warned against shipping your sold items before you receive the money. Now, all of a sudden it's ok to ship before you're paid, and actually it's  mandatory so that in 4 days you MIGHT see your money.  PayPal  , I miss you already.   I wish they would allow us to choose a payment platform.   I Googled this , and there are pages, and pages of complaints about this issue.      IF IT'S NOT BROKEN, DON'T FIX IT

A workaround is to use your Pending funds for shipping. Scroll to the bottom of the label page and change your preference. It should become your new default.

For what it's worth... I've never had a payment not  move all the way to 'Completed' once it's 'Processing'.
