I was enrolled in managed payments back in August 2020. I've had a listing for a lot of vintage gift wrap wrapping paper since November. I ended it last month to relist it to update the listing description and have it appear as a "new" listing.
Today, I'm getting the listing error "It looks like there's a problem with this listing.
I figured that ebay's algorithm is picking up the word "gift" to prevent me from listing it since managed payments do not allow "gift cards" -which of course is not what I'm trying to sell. I took out the word "gift" out of my title and description and I'm still getting the same error. Also tried to sell it under a variety of different categories, and even creating a brand new listing with new photos and a completely different listing description using all different words for sentences... I am still getting the same error.
Anyone have any suggestions, besides contacting customer service?
Thank you in advance!

NO, and I doubt that will work either.

Have you looked at other listings with similar items? I saw a couple that seemed to be in managed payments. I was assuming (never really a good idea) by their payment options they have already become a part of MP.
If you check them out, maybe the options of their titles and listing categories may possibly help.
I can't think of anything else. I hope that it works out for you.
Best moving forward,
Grandma

Thanks guys. I've also tried using the same description and categories that others currently have gift wrap listed as and still no luck. At this point, I'm just gonna forget about it.

I see 30,058 results returned for 'wrapping paper', often with 'gift' in it. I'm not sure if they're in MP or still with the old paypal system, but you might try just 'wrapping paper' - most people don't really even say 'gift' when they talk about the paper one uses for wrapping gifts, so I would go with that.

I'm always amazed at the fortitude with which bots rule the roost.
