code dictionary

Are eBay code dictionaries published somewhere?  Fee codes, transaction id, order number, payout id, reference id.

Without understanding eBay codes, the fields they occupy in the downloaded "report" files and in my own tracking files are dead weight

The number of such fields seems to be ever increasing, as if eBay coders are flying by the seat of their pants and constantly surprised by things coming up that don't fit in an earlier taxonomy.

The codes differ even when what I know about the record and the nature of the charge to which they apply are the same (e.g. ad fees - same campaign, same rate, same listing type; or insertion fees - same category, listing type, same store profile).

The codes are not different even when I know the records and nature of the charge is different (e.g. final value fees that vary by category).

I'd at least like to know what the codes' structure is.  For example, to know that the first two digits are the eBay site, the next five are category, and so on.

Anyone else trying to rebuild their tracking systems based on copied and downloaded files will know my pain. Any solution?

Examples,

I have at least two fee codes  FEE-3397730449817 and FEE-3397787158817.

I find at least two ad fee codes FEE-3396696482017 and FEE-3389787318917.

In these cases some numbers are the same (black) and some are different (blue). Although, if I had more observations, I could find differences in the black numbers as well. There are no differences that I know of in the category, type of listing, ad "campaign", or ad rate.  Why are the codes different?
