I would really like to know who is in charge of this Managed Payment's nightmare! What a horrible horrible job rolling out this new feature during a time in which many people depend on eBay for income, during the holidays when most sales are seen, and in the middle of a pandemic. Chaotic, buggy, no backup plan, no support, and misinformed staff.
If I had known eBay was not accepting certain checking accounts, I would of closed my account long ago. They should at least make it easier for people to receive their last payment through PayPal before closing our accounts.
I am moving on for good from eBay. All I want is my last payment sent by check or PayPal and get this over with. So far, looks like they are keeping my money for now.

I have just been submitted to extreme bullying by E/Bay
Having sold a hand made rare wrist watch of some complications .
The buyer tried to start the watch as one would an over the counter item ..I had enclosed the makers special charge instructions as well a link to u tube step by step method ..first I received a mail from buyer it would not keep time (recorded in my messages ) then I recieved a further Message saying after gently banging the watch would not wind and he is sending it back after hurling abuse broken.
The item became a dispute and now all payment and international shipping has been sent to buyer ....after multi messaging over some weeks (recorded in my messages ) I received a statement telling me sorry you didn't write back judgement against you NOT TRUE I have recorded all mails and chat copy were I was informed not my fault dealing with buyer today ...SENT FUNDS BACK TO BUYER and I have a broken Christopher Ward Rare hand built Helium dive watch were can I take this for true resolution the item is trashed

Yes, unfortunately, I have a feeling this will happen more often as it's on eBay's interest to always side with the buyer.
As I've mentioned in other posts, so far looks like eBay is keeping my funds unless I decide to come up with a new checking account that they will accept. So far they refuse to send my last payment to my PayPal, brokerage checking account, or a check to my address.
All my stores are currently set on vacation and slowly distributing my listings to other marketplaces. I also contacted the news as many people don't have the privilege to incur extra fees for opening new checking accounts or keeping a $500 balance and up to avoid them.
It is just sad that eBay is doing this to so many people knowing many are struggling and depending on eBay as their only income during the holidays and in the middle of a pandemic.
