Hello all,

I'm fairly new to MP (registered 1/22), and so far everything's been going fine.

I've received timely payouts. I'm not thrilled with the "Payout Report" (download of a csv file; contains MANY unnecessary, unrelated fields / columns; Not at all easy to read &/or reconcile), however maybe I just need to learn a bit more.

BUT... TODAY, went to print a label and received a msg that I do not have sufficient pending funds to purchase a shipping label. And I don't understand. I have no refunds due, nor open cases or problems of any kind.

I mean, I'm guessing that I've already been paid for this item (which is great), and I see that there are funds being processed (which will probably be released tomorrow , or soon). However, for consistency reasons... I don't want to SOMEtimes take label $ from "MP - pending funds" and SOMEtimes take it from my "Paypal Account on file" (which takes it from my checking acct that I set up for MP payouts).

Am I being too picky? Streamlined consistency is good, yes?

I think MP is an accounting nightmare (& I probably don't even know yet!!! ).

Any input / advice / knowledge share will be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't make sense to me, was the shipping more that the amount you got for the item, shipping, and fees? Unless you are selling at a huge loss, why won't the money be there? Or is this just another eBay "glitch".

Have seen some other post related to this, so..................... glitch?............... most likely 😐 eBay IT is always inducing new "glitches".

I was told by an eBay rep today that if your pending payment balance is exactly $0 (which it always is after a payout), NOT less than $0, then you have to use PayPal to buy a shipping label. I told him that I have my seller account set up specifically to charge my credit card (on file with eBay) when I have $0 pending payments. He says that only applies to refunds you have to make, that put you BELOW $0, not the purchase of shipping labels if you are exactly at $0. So, IN FACT, eBay DOES NOT handle your sales fees in all instances - they still rely on you having a PayPal account for a trivial $2.89 shipping label if they just happened to pay you for something you sold, making your pending payments $0, JUST before you want to print the label to ship it. I told the rep eBay needs to hire better programmers and upgrade their payment handling system.
