Unable to List Item - Payment Options error

When I try to list an item I get this error message:

But when I click Payment options, it shows me a correctly populated form with my correct PayPal email address.

When I go to My account > Paypal account, I can also see all my correct Paypal info listed there, and in My account > Seller account, Under "Payment methods for Seller Fees" it shows: Automatic payment method - PayPal.

When I go to My account > Personal information > Payments it shows nothing listed:

But when I click Add payment option, Paypal is greyed out:

According so some other posts I've found, this means I may have been moved into the "managed payments" section and need to setup my Managed payments account, rather than Paypal, as my payment method. However when I go to the managed payments section ebay does not let me proceed, instead I get a message:

I've contacted support multiple times by email and once by phone, no one has been able to fix this.

 

Anyone know what may be happening here?

Never happened to me, however, have you tried your CC? If CC does work, there must be an issue with your paypal account. Try to call paypal.  If you haven't received any message from ebay about being moved to MP, they haven't selected you yet to sign up.

I just tried using CC and got the same exact error message unfortunately.

7th call from customer service the rep said there must be some error on the server side on my account and that I'll have to create an entirely new Ebay AND paypal account to list items on their website. Won't be using ebay ever again.

Actually it seems I was moved to MP, but no one can figure out why one part of the system is showing me there and another part of the system isn't. There's nothing anyone can do to fix their issue.

If you’ve been moved to MP, it’s no longer their issue; it’s yours. You need to do the registration process for MP, or you can no longer sell here.

I actually did, turned out to be an issue with the listing itself - some internal server error occurred during its creation that no one could resolve. Ended up deleting the listing completely and starting a new one from scratch. Filled it out exactly the same way, and it listed no problem.

 

If that doesn't help you contact customer service again by phone. Be vigilant, it took me 9 calls to reach someone that could help.
