Transaction failed but debit card was charged

I purchased something with my debit card, few minutes later I tried to pay for an auction I won, there was an error message but my debit card was charged, how do I get a refund?

why would you get a refund if you paid for an item you won?

I just checked my debit card balance a few hours ago and the funds have been successfully reversed,as eBay  customer service told me it was reversed as promised as within the 48-72 hour time frame
