Ebay updated it policy last year for trading card sales and made it that if the sellers doesn't accept returns they have 3 days after delivery to make a return request which is fine I'm not mad about that. But if you sell a high value item eBay then says the buyer can return the item for upto 30 days and will hold payment until 30 days even though the policy states 3 days ebay gives the buyer and it can even be buyer remorse. The seller is not protected. This is complete **bleep**. The listing and policy clearly states that 3 days for no returns. Item has been delivered and positive feedback was left. But eBay says we'll what if 3 weeks from now the card isn't want was listed? The buyer has already said it was what he ordered and was happy with his purchase. EBay is a joke and the policy is lie. Listing have incorrect info also.

If it's the card that was listed for $1,300, yes, they can hold the funds for 30 days.

The buyer has 30 days to return an item through eBay that's not as described except for sports cards. Then they only have 3 days to return it. The reason the payment is still held for 30 days is because it's a high value item and eBay applies that hold to all high value items, not taking into consideration a sports card is not covered after 3 days.
And they don't say this but I suspect a lot of buyers try to file after three days and when they find out they're not covered they go to the payment source. If that happens eBay has to give the payment back. I'm thinking eBay is just covering their butt in case they have to refund a chargeback.

"hold payment until 30 days"
Transaction holds can and are held for such situations.
Read about holds here, and check your current ones...

But at that point I should still be paid according to ebay policy and the charge back falls on ebay not me at that point. My money shouldn't be hold past the 4th day after delivery to the policy they put in place. I don't see how they can say one thing and have it as policy but then they don't have to follow that policy and the seller is screwed. Even says no returns past 3 days on the listing but that is not the case which is a problem for them and not me as I am following the policy they put in place but they just change the rules on the sellers yet they took their money right away. Ebay has became such a joke and the customer service is useless as they are all so dumb to what their policy even is at this point.

It might say no returns after 3 days on Ebay, but buyers have 180 days to file a claim with Pay Pal and the same or longer with their credit cards.
Ebay wants to cover their tail as long as they can, so they don't have to come up with the money if a refund is needed.

It was only 4 days ago they accepted a best offer on a $1350 item.
@patrickm420 eBay is going to hold the payment for up to 30 days because it is a high value item listed in a high risk category. You need to accept that because that is now the policy.
