This new eBay payment system is complete garbage

People are used to getting their money instantly with PayPal. We could've instantly transferred the money from PayPal to the bank account or use paypal to buy other merchandise. Now we have to wait 2-7 days to get our money into our bank accounts. This is a major inconvenience to myself and others. When eBay switched to this new payment system they should have worked on getting the money faster to us. I can respect in a business aspect by doing this new system will make eBay more money but because of this, 75% of my items I sell are now being sold on different platforms that allow paypal. eBay is now losing their fees to someone else. I love eBay and I have ONLY used eBay to sell for 20+ years on multiple accounts. I will still sell on eBay in a limited way and that saddens me. I respect the sellers who are not bothered by waiting for their money with this new system. I cannot wait for the funds for up to a week in some situations. PLEASE make an effort to have a way to instantly transfer to your bank account or paypal. You can even add a fee to do this. This would make a long time user happy.

Welcome to the real world of online payment processing. PayPal spoiled us by lending us the money while they processed the payment. No going back here on eBay.

Not bothered? I don’t think anyone really likes it. But we don’t have any control over it so we don’t b***h about it.

I was the victim of a glitch in the system that created PayPal holds until items were delivered  (much longer than MP) despite being a seller here since 2001. I welcome MP.

The new payment holds system is garbage. I’ve been using eBay for over a decade and they shouldn’t be holding peoples money if an item has been shipped and the seller has been a longtime eBayer especially one with great feedback. Their fees are high, they hold sellers money, as a seller it’s not convenient! I much rather list the item on FB marketplace, not pay any fees and get my money instantly. Slide over Blockbuster! Ebay is coming to join you in the history books!

You haven't sold anything in awhile and they consider you a new seller.

And just like when Pay Pal processed the payments, new sellers had their payments held.
