The new give us your debit card, get your payout in 30 minutes is bogus?

Hey y'all. So has anyone else set up the new payout option they offered last month where if you enter your debit card info and set it as your preferred payout type and you'll get your payout usually within 30 minutes? I did. My card was verified with their 2 small deposits and the 1st 2 sales I made after that I got my payout super fast and within 30 minutes. Now however, I made a sale yesterday and am still waiting for the payout that according to the Payments section of my app won't be sent to my bank until tomorrow. So I have called twice today and was told that in order to receive my payouts faster that I have to change from daily payouts to weekly or bi-weekly payouts and then request and early withdrawal after every sale. This is crap, of course. I have the email they sent telling me that my card was verified and that I would now receive all my payouts within 30 minutes. But the guys I talked to don't seem to care about what the email said or that the 1st 2 came within the 30 minutes and my payout schedule was set to daily and that I didn't request an early withdrawal. How do we make it so we get the immediate payout they promised on June 20, 2022? Does anybody know? I mean I already had my payouts going to my checking account that I opened specifically for my eBay funds that I wait up to a week to get. What was the point of me giving them my debit card also for immediate payouts if the payouts are not immediate and I'm still waiting a week to get paid? But if I go in and remove my debit card as my preferred payout method then they will hold my payout for 48hrs while they make the change. I mean, what the heck are they doing?

Hey did you have to set your debit card as the main payout method to get the instant deposits to work?

I added my debit card like two months ago, but there is still no 1.5% instant deposit option. My default payout method is the bank account itself (routing & account number).

Do you think I should set the debit as the default payout method to get it to work?

Honestly, I'm not sure. Idts though. I know yiu have to be set on either weekly or monthly payouts to use the service. It's not available to the ones that get daily payouts. 

If that isn't why then you should maybe make a post and ask everyone or call them and ask.

I was told by someone who said he was from eBay customer service he said I needed to give debit,bank card etc to be verified. Like cool gave numbers to him.when He seen no money said call when I have money in account.I called him week later first thing he said did I deposit money.told him no He said to put $150 pm google play card.I told him  there's warning on Internet that eBay will never ask you to put money on debit card in order to verify he hung up.I was in process writing eBay a out this jerk a d 7 more jerks trying to pull same scam trying toby pass eBay process.then went to eat today and found out prick who said he worked at Hamilton Ave site. I think he drained my Global Cash Card.it took place Venice CVS. When I live on San Jose CA about 400 hundred miles Venice and the prick I talked to phone number in Ventura about 47-60 miles anyone have same bull**bleep** trying  to contact eBay customer service.

Dude, that suck big time. Is your bank or whoever issued this World Card holding you liable for it? I know most banks and loan company cards have automatic fraud protection and if you report a fraudulent use of your card they don't make you pay and put the amount taken back into your account and start an investigation of it. You know, cause those institutions need to know about newer plots to defraud citizens so they can put the word out, etc. I would call them if I were you and I'd also start a new thread telling what happened to you, because the only people who will see your comment here is those who have already commented on this thread. I'm sorry this happened to you and I hope you get it charged back to your accounts.

That they are. However, since creating this thread, and since all their other 'changes' to how they conduct business, I have to be honest and say that either CS or eBay as a whole has greatly improved in the overall way things are going and in how they treat their Sellers. Or maybe it's just because I fill in every single little feedback thingy that I happen across, whether inside their 'HELP' area or after speaking with an agent and tell them exactly what's on my mind. They say they won't respond to each, but I do believe that they are actually read by someone other than me as I write them and now maybe my user name is on some kind of algorithm that makes them treat me better???? (That was a joke). But really, who knows. They seem to have gotten the financials worked out and seem to be implementing some Seller Protections that you won't know about unless hit with a situation comes your way where they have to tell you or you're in HELP and discover it. So, for now at least, I think they are at least trying a little harder.

What issue arose to cause you to comment here? Maybe it's something I've been through already and can help you with?

Oh yeah, by the way, if you think their CSR's have been force fed canned responses, you oughta have a listen to the ones working for one if the Government Phone Programs. I truly wish I could reach through the phone on those cats before they have the chance to hang up in me. Lol!

There is a fee charged each time you get that "quick" payment. That will add up.

I have been going round and round with them over this issue as well. I was on daily and they told me to use the instant pay out for a fee, I had to be weekly or longer out on a schedule. Now I have been told so many different things that idk what to think or what to set to what. But as far as being daily, if your payout schedule is set to daily, it has to go to your bank account which is stupid because everyone knows that “daily” doesn’t mean you are getting money deposited to your bank account every single day you have funds available. They said they send payments on Saturday and Sunday but most banks do not post on the weekend so any payments that got sent Friday, Sat, or Sun by eBay did not show up on my account until Tuesday. So I wanted to be able to get money via my debit card (also it is the debit card that goes to the bank account I get payouts made to) on the weekends if needed and was willing to pay the fee. I changed to weekly payouts but set them to go to the debit card and to have the debit card available for instant payouts for a fee at any time. So my bank account was no where in the picture except for when they couldn’t get the instant payouts option to show up for me, then they automatically sent my payouts to the bank account because of an error with my card. I have talked to them 8 or 9 times since June and every time I am told something different and that the issue is being escalated and sent to the proper people to fix the issue. I have never seen such a botched attempt to compete with Mercari’s payout system. They have it together and I can even have my payments sent to whatever card I choose. The only issue with their system is that they limit payouts to $500 a month. But they charge a flat $2 no matter how much money you draw out of your account each time. If a small but still relatively large, as far as seller numbers go, platform like that can do instant payouts to a debit card with no issues, why can’t eBay get it together? They are missing out on a lot of 1.5% fees and that in itself is a shocker since they love to collect fees and more fees and more fees. I though that would be incentive in itself to get it all working for the sellers who are willing to pay.

How's it working out for you now? Did you go weekly or monthly?  What if you don't sell that much?  And my last question is...my debit card is linked to my checking account,  can you see the deposits on the online ledger?

For some reason, I think when they first rolled this out I remember EVERYONE being able to opt to have payments on demand. I don't know when they switched it to only people with weekly and monthly payouts. The excuse that daily payout people can't demand instant payment being, "you already have our fastest option" is bull. How is waiting 2 days for money to clear the bank, quicker than the 30 mins they claim on demand takes? And if EVERYONE is paying a fee...what's the problem??? My suspicion is, they figured daily payout people, even paying the fees, doesn't garner as much money as people with weekly/monthly payouts....stacking more money they may request in advance, thus a higher fee. Then if you cause daily payout people to switch over to the weekly/monthly....you make them stack more money as well!!! I'm I trippin' or isn't this some kind of sneaky way to make money off of us??
