So there's a listing on eBay with all this information?
Or did you find it on another site and were told that eBay is involved?

Not on eBay site just using the eBay name in association with Directv and AT&T to promote scam via phone call

This is an obvious scam, because eBay gift cars can only be used on eBay.
Anyone asking you to pay by sending the numbers off the back of the cards, is a scammer and a thief.

Such scams are very common. eBay has nothing to do with it, other than the fact that the scammers are using eBay's name and asking for gift cards.
Anyone you do not know personally asking your to purchase gift cards to complete any sort of transaction should be assumed to be a scammer.
If you receive an email or a text message from someone you know asking you to purchase gift cards, you should assume that person's email account has been hijacked until you can speak to that person to verify that it is actually the person you know.

Report this to the site where you found it.
"Hope eBay can help stop this scam." It has nothing at all to do with eBay and eBay will make no effort to stop the scam. That would be up to the site where you found this.
Please tell us you didn't fall for it.

This wasn’t on a website, or in an email or a text. They’re doing it the old fashioned way , by phone.
That’s why the thread title says “Telephone scam”.
