TAX(VAT) issues seller refuse to put IOSS code for package

Hello ebay community,

I have a question regarding the TAX(VAT).

From 1 July 2021 Ebay begin to collect VAT from the goods which are going to EU from Third countries.

I was buying item from Argentina from #brakedopler, ebay collect the VAT,  but this stupid seller not write IOSS code for VAT and now I need to pay again VAT + payment to brokers company.

So the question will be like so, possible after I will pay again VAT+payment to brokers company collect throw the ebay disput from the Seller, because it is his mistake and responsebility to include VAT IOSS code?

eBay collects the VAT,  the seller never sees it or has anything to do with it.  You need to get a tax credit when you report your income or ask eBay to refund.

Wow, just Wow.

You do know these boards are manned by volunteers ? not eBay.

Good luck with sorting out your issue, as fab_finds suggest, contact eBay and see if they can sort it out.

I was just thinking, may be some of ebays buyer was having the same problem.
