Sold my first item and buyer transaction does not go through

I've decided to sell my first item on eBay and a buyer informed me that he has paid for the item. However, the transaction for the purchase did not make it through. I was informed to get my PayPal account set up, which I have just recently opened and linked. The buyer's payment still does not process and on the Shipping Label page I still get the message that says, "It looks like the buyer has not paid for this item yet. You should wait until you receive payment before dispatching this order." Do I have to wait a few days or during the weekday for this to process?

Do not ship until you see the buyer's payment transaction in your Paypal account & Paypal says it is OK to do so.

Do not attempt to print a shipping label either.

I was informed to get my PayPal account set up, which I have just recently opened and linked.

Payment is direceted to a particular Paypal account by the payment email address that ws input when you created the listing.  By default, eBay would auto-fill this field with your eBay email address.

You say that you set up a Paypal account.  

Did you use the same email address that you use for eBay?

Did you then confirm that email address for Paypal?

If you used a different email address for eBay & Paypal, log in to your Paypal account & add/confirm your eBay email address to your Paypal profile.

You can also try using the Sell Similar function for that listing & check to see exactly what email address had been used.
