I recently purchased an item that I can't pay for, because I keep getting an error message whenever I try to pay:
"One or more sellers can't accept payments right now. Contact the sellers for help."
I contacted the seller and he said he tried to fix this multiple times without success. He then sent me his paypal email and said I can pay through there, which is clearly a violation of eBay policy. I can't tell if he's actually having issues and doesn't know how to resolve them, or if he's trying to save a few bucks by working around eBay's seller fees. Should I contact eBay about this and ask them for help? What should I do about this? It's been a few days since I purchased the item, and the seller has been really difficult to communicate with. If anyone has advice or has experienced something similar, I would really appreciate it.

the only advice I will give you is DO NOT ask ebay for help. Their staff is incompetent and in the end, you can end up with a block on YOUR account for trying to do business outside ebay or if they understand English they block the seller who is genuinely (looks like) trying to help you to pay for the item.
Try to clear cache and cookies on your browser. The message you get does not make sense, it looks like the problem is on your end. " One or MORE sellers..."? A typical ebay nonsense.

Ok, I'll try and figure out something with the seller. I agree, eBay has really gone downhill over the years I've been here.
