Very frustrating, In the past you sold item on eBay, you get paid and can large shipping. I go to the ups store and they box. Weigh and mail .. but now eBay wants me to box, weigh, and use their shipping, which would be great if I had a scale. I marked shipping lower to sell and planned to lose some of my profits to make up difference. But new way I either have to pay shipping first or go buy scale and shipping items so I can use their label. I wa told if I canceled order, funds would be deducted from my bank immediately even though eBay still has all the money…I was told if I can’t send without payment first, to wait to customer files dispute and then it would be refunded to them from hold….sorry for ramble but for a mom trying to sell an item it has be one a chore 😞

Sadly, that's one of the many negatives of Managed Payments. You have to front the shipping costs.
Now cue the "... but but but you can use Pending Payments for shipping ..." comments...

@evamm4 You do NOT need to use eBay's label. I often don't use eBay's labels and simply purchase shipping myself using another app - which means it is not deducted from my payout and ends up in my bank account anyway. Six of one/half dozen of the other.

I bought a postage scale on eBay for $12 with free shipping.

Well then you will be happy to know this is not correct. IF you can use the Ebay shipping label system you can have your shipping fees deducted from your MP account if you want.

I think you are assuming that to buy a shipping scale is expensive. They aren't.
You can print shipping labels on regular paper if you want. Just cut them out and use clear tape to attach to your package.
This isn't as big of a deal as you seem to think it is. Don't cost yourself money simply because you are assuming some stuff that isn't necessarily true.
