Seller won't accept payment

Hi, How are you? So, I won a bid Saturday. I waited 3 days before messaging, now 4. The listing had PayPal as a listed option. Payment went through fine, but the seller said that he was waiting for payment from my end. I immediately go check ebay and says "Paid". Then i go to paypal and again says transaction went through, but it also says that "seller has not accepted payment yet". I never had this happen to me. Is there anything that I can do to receive the item or cancel the transaction and just go somewhere else?  Do I cancel with paypal, ebay, or both? Thank you in advance!

Seller won't accept payment

That message happens when the seller has made an OOPS when they put their PP email address inside the listing in the payment section of the listing set up.  They may only be one character off, but a mistake nonetheless.

Your seller needs to go to the listing you purchased from.  Act as if they are going to revise or relist it so they can get inside the listing to see what email address they have on your sale.  Looking other other listings will do them no good, they need to specifically look at the one you purchased from.

They need to review that info very closely.  Then they can go to their PP account and ADD that bad email address to their account and shortly your payment should transfer into the account.

The seller then should go and correct all their listings as there is likely more mistakes like that.

As a buyer you can not "cancel" a transaction on Ebay.  Only sellers can do that.  And that is an option for the seller to do that.  Then they could fix the listing you purchased from, relist it and then you could purchase it again if you really want it.

Seller won't accept payment

Your seller may be new to managed payments and not willing to ship until funds clear.

OR: your seller has the wrong email attached to eBay for the PayPal transaction and has not received it.

If eBay on your end shows paid, then this problem in on the sellers end.

Tell the seller they need to check payment and were it goes on their end.

Seller won't accept payment

It may not be the sellers fault I had a sale that wouldn't go through a few weeks ago and with help from here I checked my email and somehow ebay had put one in that I hadn't used in about 10 years

Thank you all, but the issue was resolved! I'm guessing the person was new and/or didn't know he had to confirm the email with ebay or. I didn't ask or was mad, I was very nice about everything. I just thought that the person was trying to con me or something, but the issue was resolved and will be receiving the item soon. As stated above, I never had this happen to me, so just want to get some advice once I got deeper into things. Once again thank you all and hope that you have a good rest of the year!
