Seller want me to cancel order, but its paid already.

Hello.

I bought item ,paid with Mastercard, and after few days, seller wrote me, he have some account problems and i have to cancel my order.  But money is gone from my account.  What to do now?

The seller should cancel the order and refund your money, not you. If they don't, then after the last expected delivery date, file an item not received claim against the seller.

No you don't.   The seller wants you to cancel to avoid issues with eBay.  You don't do anything.  Wait one day past the last delivery date, if it's not arrived, file an item not received case.   Don't even reply to the seller.

A buyer can't cancel an order... only a seller can. If the seller cancels, a credit to your Mastercard will start to process. Remember that credits can take anywhere from several days to a whole billing cycle to show up. Good luck.

The seller is trying to outsmart Ebay and avoid getting what sellers know as a defect on their stats of the selling account.  In other words a bad mark.  Too many of them and we get sanctioned or worse.

 

So what your seller is doing is they are trying to get you to say you'd like a cancellation because If a buyer asks for a cancellation and the seller says OK, then the seller will not get a defect.

 

Now sometimes there might be a justification for this if the seller contacts you right away or within a reasonable amount of time after a purchase.  But since as  you say it has been a FEW days, that seller is not behaving like a responsible seller.

 

You can respond to their email, well you should respond to their email for the fastest way to get your money refunded.  If this were my transaction as a buyer, my response would be, I do NOT want a cancellation, I want the product I orders.  I am pretty concerned about this transaction since I made this purchase several days ago and this is our first contact.  If you are not going to ship because of some issue on your end, then I would expect you to cancel the transaction for a seller related reason and refund my money ASAP.  I will expect to hear from you very soon with what you are going to do or I'll be forced to file a claim to protect my money.

 

See how they respond to that.  Ebay will send you an email when the seller cancels a transaction.  So keep watch for that.  That email will also tell you if the cancellation was filed because you requested it.  If that happens come back and let us know and I can explain how you can report the seller for breaching the Ebay rule for this.

 

If you send the email, give the seller 24 hours to respond.  If they don't come on back and I'll walk you through how to file a claim so your money is protected.

 

If they do respond, it would be interesting to hear what they have to say.

And PLEASE know that most sellers are good, honest hard working people.  I've been a seller for many years.
