I recently purchased a game accidentally online. I promptly cancelled my order, but in 5 minutes the item was marked as shipped. Then I received a notice that the seller rejected my cancellation. I left negative feedback, seeing how it is impossible to ship an item within 5 minutes at 3am in the morning. He's in the same time zone as me. The seller is @tvu-andre He messages me frantically, telling me he hasn't shipped the item. He asks me to revise the feedback and he'll refund me. Then he asks for my paypal claiming that he can't send the refund otherwise. I give it to him and revise the feedback as promised. The seller has now gone silent days. I suppose in the end I may have to eat the cost, but this seller has attempted to defraud and manipulate the system. He needs to be removed from ebay.

Defraud you, rubbish.
A seller does not have to cancel a sale because of an error you made, they can, but are not required to.
eBay is not a game and whether the item was shipped or not the seller loses fee's when buyers do this.
To top it off, you left a negative - feedback is not a tool for revenge or for communication.
I am speechless, but really pleased you posted as I think many sellers will be.

Agree with everything you have said in your response to OP.
First sentence of OP says it all. Accidently purchase.
Viewed the listing, selected quantity, put it in basket and completed check out including payment all by Accident.
Sense of entitlement is what gets me.
I sincerely hope seller is more responsible than buyer and does issue a refund minus his final value fees which he won't get back from eBay if he refunds through eBay.

I think youeseller is tired of hearing stories and figured you woud be the unlucky buyer who he pushed around.
its not really working out ,sellers can sense attitude...............be on the lookpout for it............expect it
sometimes in ebayville nobody wants to give an inch.......it did not have to be this way......thats all i can say

If that’s how you guys feel, fine. He can ask to revise the feedback and point out it’s my fault. I’ll accept that. But don’t lie. Don’t mark things as shipped when you haven’t done such a thing. Don't say you're going to refund knowing you have no intention. I never lied in this whole transaction. I even told him that I can’t revise it myself unless he sends the form to me. So I acted in good faith. I accept my mistake in the transaction, but if you think lying is the answer to correct a problem well... This is his victory and my defeat and I leave more informed. He may not have deserved bad feedback I suppose. But him not sending the item and keeping the money with no loss. That is wrong no matter what.

So, you "accidentally" paid for it as well?
And yes, an order can be processed, eBay takes their fees, and can be considered shipped within 5 minutes.
Thank you for posting!

It takes a brave person to admit their error.
As you admit your mistakes therefore as far as I am concerned that part is done and I hope your seller is reading these posts and now does the right thing and issues a refund to you.
In my old age I am learning to treat others with kindness and to give them some space when they go against my wishes.
Everybody want to be heard but sadly no one wants to listen.

eBay marks an item as shipped when the seller prints the label. He probably saw your message AFTER he printed the label.
No, the seller does not get to keep both item and money- you are entitled to one or the other.
Is there tracking information? Does that tracking show the item is moving? Or not?
Did you pay via Paypal? Did you check to see if a refund is in process?
If the item doesn't arrive by the last date on your purchase details, you can open an item not received case and get a refund from eBay.
