Seller payment using Paypal

Hello!

Looking for some assistance to understand how to use Paypal as an Ebay seller. I have tried to engage customer service on the phone, but that was a complete waste of waiting time... anyway...

I found this Ebay help article that is supposed to describe how to use paypal as a payment option: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/setup-change-payment-methods/accepting-paypal?id=4183:

When you create a listing, select PayPal as a payment method and enter the email address associated with your PayPal account in the Payment options section of the listing form.

I have been all through creating a listing and I absolutely cannot find any section where you can specify a payment method. The "Payment options" section only has a greyed out checkbox for "Payments managed by eBay". There is no option to put in any Paypal information or to specify to use the Paypal account linked to my account. What am I missing here?

Sounds like you've maybe been brought into eBay's Managed Payments, where your money no longer goes to PayPal.

Does this mean there is no way to specify Paypal to be used? Perhaps an option in my Account Settings? Can I configure eBay's Managed Payments?

Buyers can still use PayPal. You don’t have to do anything as a seller for buyers.

Have you completely signed up for managed payments? Your listings show you’re in MP.

I thought Ebay was allowing Paypal until 2023, but I guess I opted in at some point? Don't remember doing that, but whatever. I guess it's time to abandon ship then. It was good while it lasted, but the fees are just too much and I am not linking Ebay to my bank account.

eBay is allowing BUYERS to pay with PayPal at least through 2023.

Apparently eBay moved you to MP, but you didn't do the registration process. You would have remembered giving them your SSN and bank account info. So at this point, if you sell anything, you'll have no way to receive the money unless you do the signup process.

 I'm a seller and use PP to receive money. Is that supposed to mean that If I still stay on PP ,I will not receive money from the buyer?

@jeni-7808  Your listings show you are in managed payments. Buyers can pay you, but you will not receive their payments until you are completely set up with managed payments.
