Did you mean:

Return due to fit.

I purchased an item with a debit card, and after arrival discovered sizing was an issue.  I mailed return back, meanwhile the the debit card I used needed to be canceled due to identity theft and fraud.  I was issued a new card and listed it with eBay.  I was told I would not get a credit because I must used canceled card number for return credit.  The seller got my return,  but refuses to credit my new card listed on eBay.  That is dishonest and not fair business practices.    Help

Return due to fit.

Did the seller tell you that or did eBay?

If seller did then tell eBay, you will probably get help since you are the buyer 😉

Return due to fit.

Have you asked eBay for help?

Refunds go back to the source, your debit card if that's how you paid.  If you cancelled the card then I imagine the refund will probably end up as unclaimed funds in your state in about 6 months.

Return due to fit.

Sellers have no control over the return of your payment.

It automatically goes back the exact way it came to prevent fraud..

Have you called your card company to see what they say?

@blalockblonde You are being given wrong information. Just because you cancel/replace a debit card does not make all previous transactions go away. We've all been victims of identity theft and had to replace credit/debit cards. This is the way of the future. Recently I received a credit of $600 for a deposit I placed two years ago on a cruise I never took. It went to my very old credit card, handled by my bank, who then deposited the entire amount into my current debit account. You don't just lose your credit because you changed cards based on identity theft. Get your bank involved and this will be resolved easily for you. Do not rely on anything the seller tells you. Best of luck to you....
