Ebay holding £23000 of my money! I have sold over 1000 items and have nothing but good feedback for 10 years.
account permanently restricted 180 days to get my money. Literally could have to pull my children out of school and return my car as I’m currently not working.
I feel this should be illegal, ebay has their cut of my transaction, buyers have my items and I am standing here literally with nothing.
please help

Dang. I had to google GBP to USD... and that's a lot of USDs!!!
Surely you received some type of message from eBay that gives you a hint? Have you posted on the UK board?

Why did they suspend your account?
Did they ask for receipts for all the expensive, new items you sold?

They didn't tell you what the issue was? If you're permanently restricted that had to at least given you a hint as to why... Who told you that you would get the money in 6 months?

No indication of why it happened I posted reviews of everything I bought and sold online receipts, Online purchases ect.
they will not disclose the information.
I have sold probably $500000 US in my 10 years with eBay. I’m beyond disgusted with this behavior
Anyone with any ideas ?

The last items you sold I assume came from a store that sold watches and you purchased all the watches and have receipts of all those expensive watches you purchased putting them up for auctions.
Just an idea....but eBay probably asked for receipts and ?...and you had how many receipts to show?
Selling over 1000 items and good feedback for 10 years doesn't mean anything here...sorry about that.

You have listed and sold a whole lot of high-end watches since the beginning of the year, after not selling anything for at least a year before that. And it looks like the watches are a new line for you.
We have seen a lot of sellers in your situation, here on eBay USA. The problem is, this kind of product has been stolen a lot, because it is really popular in smash-and-grabs. Then the stolen property gets fenced, and they end up being sold for pennies on the dollar, and described as clearance, liquidation, or customer returns. High-end, expensive watches don't get sold at liquidation prices online, for online sellers to pick up and flip. They would be returned to the manufacturer through their distribution channels. I'm sure there are smash-and-grabs and retail thefts like this in the UK as well.
That is why it is so important to source your product from reliable sources, which should be expected to be able to provide you with detailed, itemized invoices, for high-end product like this. I'm afraid that if you can't provide itemized purchase invoices to back up your product, then that is a deal breaker.

That is a lot of new high end merchandise you sold. You do have receipts for it? eBay has to be sure it's not stolen. You need to provide the paperwork eBay is asking for. That is not the kind of items most people have just kicking around the house.
