Restricted Account since the first of July

Hello Guys, 

I have been actively selling on Ebay for almost 2 months now. I signed up for the so called "Durchstarter" Program, which is supposed to help me, create my first experiences with selling on Ebay and help me start my own Ebay-Shop. First, everything was going great. I had a call with an Ebay employee, who helped me optimize my offers and customize my shop. After about 3 weeks I received an email, which said, your account has been restricted and I got to send Company Infos, Invoices and the usual stuff for Platforms to check the legitimacy of their sellers. I submitted all required infos about 2 days after I received the email. After just a few days I received some feedback, that I would need to upload more invoices, since i had quite many products online. So i did that.  Since two weeks, I did not get any feedback. I have tried it through the customer service multiple times, but I just do not get any reason why my money should be frozen that long. I have sent all required Information about me, my products and my company! It is just really frustrating that the program, which is supposed to boost my sales, is absolutely destroying my business. It is completely shutting down my operations.  I am writing here, because i have no idea what i am supposed to do. It's a shame, that such a huge company is not trustworthy. Even, if I get my money back from ebay, how do i know, that i two weeks time, my account is blocked again and I am loaning my money for free to ebay. Really sad to see and I was really optimistic.

Then yesterday, I had a call with the same ebay employee that helped me at the beginning to optimize my offers. Unfortunately, he didn't have a clue, why my money is still frozen. He told me, that he had contacted a colleague, who is in the responsible department. Now today, i haven't heard from him. Honestly, I don't even expect an answer.

That is why I wanted to explain my problem here and maybe some of you had the same problem before. I would be really happy, if some of you could write down your thoughts on my topic.

I have no idea what your problem is or how to correct it.

However, I suspect that the special program that you communicated with is the problem. If you gave someone outside eBay access to your eBay account and to your banking, then they have probably scammed you somehow. I would change my passwords to my eBay and banking accounts right away. Scammers tell you that they are with eBay, and count on you believing them. You probably were not talking to eBay, especially if you got the same representative both times you called. I would suggest changing all your passwords. The only way to straighten this out is to reach eBay directly through one of your eBay listings, not through an intermediary, and not through any phone numbers you were given. The phone number you have is probably directly to the scammer.

Durchstarter is a legit eBay program - no scam here.  

Your suspension or restrictions likely have little to nothing to do with the program that you were on. It’s all about what you were selling, how much you were selling. I have no idea if you were entirely in the right with what you sold, but those are the types of items that get onto eBay‘s radar fast. A few items that I saw were indicative of those using retail arbitrage to sell an eBay. Things not in your possession that you have listed, when someone buys, you order from another site and have shipped to the buyer.

I suppose that if the program consultants helped you to sell more, that got you on eBay‘s radar, faster, contributing to the timing of your suspension or restrictions. It was probably an inevitability.

I don’t know the severity of what eBay thinks that you did, so I don’t really know if your suspension in restrictions are permanent, temporary, or until eBay completes an investigation in your favor. I’ve been suspended multiple times – all things that I deserved, admittedly. I didn’t have to do anything, other than wait out the suspension.

you might get much better insights if you go to one of the eBay forms for EU sellers. This one is primarily comprised of people in the United States.

Deutchstarter is a legitimate eBay program but since the majority of posters on these boards are located in the US, most will have never heard of it. You should post on the eBay Germany discussion boards where you’ll probably get help.
