Refunding a buyer

I don't cancel orders but I had to this one time. But when I had to refund the buyer, ebay took money out of my bank account to refund the buyer even though I haven't even received a payout or anything from the buyer. Why couldn't ebay just give back the money that the buyer used? Will I ever get my money back?

Refunding a buyer

They will give it back to you eventually. If you read the MP policy you'll see that eBay holds the money in your Pending funds, refunds from your available funds or bank account. Then they will release the hold.  No telling why they do it that way, other than making sure they don't lose any money.
