Refund available same day?

Hello,

I received a refund from a seller 3 minutes after I purchased an item today 12/20/24. I used a debit card attached to PayPal  account. Usually it takes a few business days to receive the funds, however the email I received from ebay said the following:   Your refund is on the way! Available in your card by December 20, 2024.   Does this mean it will be available today? Never got that message before. Thank you!

If the refund was issued today, I wouldn't expect to see it in your account for a couple days.

Wow! 3 hours later the refund showed up in my account! Not sure if it's a new ebay policy or because the entire purchase was paid for and refunded in under 5 minutes. Can't believe the funds are back in my account within hours.  Yay!

Debit cards take even longer that credit cards to process a refund.  I suppose it could be something new?

You can call the customer service number on the back of your card to see when it will be processed.
