We are on the normal daily payout schedule and have been, since December, getting express payouts to our debit card on weekends as ebay no longer does normal weekend payouts but offers this option. So - no problem since December but today when I went to do the express payout, I was told I needed to verify my information again. Ebay said they would send an email to me but never did. The website says they would also send a message to me in ebay messaging but didn't. I spoke to ebay chat and they just said they would escalate to the tech department and I should hear something in a few days or so. Problem being is they have now stopped all payouts on our account. I have no idea what to do now as no one at ebay seems to know what is going on. Any ideas? Also, not a new account - been on ebay selling for 11 years - account hasn't changed in any way.

I would suggest a couple of things.
First I would ask why spend the money on express payouts? Why go through that expense when Daily payouts work for you most of the week. Is it such a big hardship to wait for your normal payout on Monday? I am only asking. I've seen many sellers get hung up on these Express Payouts when it isn't necessary for most of them, especially if they use Daily Payouts. It just has become habit.
Second, use a different approach to getting answers from Customer service.
On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

I appreciate your reply. We're not wanting to do Express payouts and didn't need to when ebay did regular weekend payouts. The problem is they made the change and started offering a hybrid service without telling anyone. They did this to us on a weekend in December for our account. They literally said "next payout Saturday" and then just didn't do it. Then said "next payout Sunday" and didn't do it either. The funds were expected in our account on Monday, as had been the case for years, and we budgeted as such so we had no option but to do the Express payout on that weekend. If we had known they were going to do the change, we would have budgeted differently. This weekend, they changed the rules again. Which - fine - whatever - but we weren't notified on this change either. They said they wanted to verify us, which had already been done, and would send an email to do so. Then they didn't send the email (no - it's not in the spam folder). They said it would also be in our ebay messages - it wasn't there either. And, like I said in the initial post - they stopped ALL payouts on our account - daily, express or otherwise until the verification we couldn't do was done.
Now, we finally managed to get ahold of a supervisor in their payments and payouts division. Apparently, they don't know anything about what ebay is doing on payouts either but looked at our account and said the verification, which we couldn't do again, was showing as just completed today. They couldn't explain this. They did, more or less, get the problem sort of fixed but cut the chat off when we asked to hear back from whatever division is in charge of how payout changes are made (we were told we can't talk to them). And this was a US-based supervisor - not a foreign CSR copying and pasting stuff.
What I'm a little concerned about is it looks like ebay is testing the waters to simply getting rid of any kind of free daily, and possibly weekly payouts. Amazon only does free bi-weekly so there is no reason for ebay to offer otherwise.
Oh - for your reference - the Ebay for Sellers facebook page was shut down last year. It was announced in the Summer 2024 Seller Check In. You're now stuck piling in with buyers on the main ebay FB page.

Thank you for going through all of that with me. I found it very interesting.
Over the last year or more Ebay has been making changes here and there and telling no one about them until we stumble across them. I and actually the entire Mentor's team has been trying to get them to change this practice as it is so disruptive not to mention unfair. It causes all kinds on unnecessary issues. But so far it has fallen on deaf ears.
As to your ability to talk directly with the team responsible for the change, that is not a surprise that they wouldn't be able to connect you. They don't typically do that.
When MP started, there were less options for payouts than there are now.
As for the Facebook link I gave you for help. It works. What Ebay did was consolidate the two Facebook accounts they had. So one still exists for help.

Apparently, I spoke too soon as the problem was not fixed. After speaking with ebay yesterday, our account then said "You can request an early payout after Feb 09, 08:00PM PST.". That time came and went but the request payout button is still greyed out and that message has now disappeared. Now - no upcoming payouts and no express payouts of any sort. All I can do at this point is wait until the CSRs wake up and start all over with them. I think the system still wants another verification even though the CSRs are saying it doesn't.

I do appreciate your help. I'm not new to ebay - our buying account started in 1997 so I know how they are. I've done all I can - spoke to 12 different people and sent messages to both the twitter and facebook accounts (no response from either). At best, I might get a link from them in 24-48 hours to do the verification (I was told an hour and then maybe 2 days). I've accepted our funds will probably be on hold for at least a week or maybe longer and so I'm working on plan B - there is really nothing else I can do.

Very sorry to hear you are having difficulties with what should be a simple and painless procedure.
Your post is yet another potent reminder of how fickle and unstable eBay can be when it comes to any changes in the area of one's personal financial details.
Personally speaking, I have not changed a single detail on my personal financial information page since signing up to be a seller here in 1999.
That, despite the fact that I ceased using completely (except for eBay disbursements) the bank account that I registered here 26 years ago. I will not touch express payouts with a 25-foot pole.
Because I am, quite frankly, fearful of encountering the same sort of problems that you describe.
This is one of the things I find so puzzling about eBay: some things work flawlessly, while others are completely inconsistent and unpredictable.

Welp - the link to update my info finally popped up this morning, my ID got uploaded, and the hold was lifted 5 minutes later. The speed at which ebay can go from being remarkably inefficient to remarkably efficient is remarkable. And while I don't blame ebay for needing to periodically verify info, their handling of it is beyond terrible. Their workflow on this needs to be entirely revamped, dedicated reps for sellers needs to be a thing and customer service should be a one and done call. Thank you to everyone for your advice on this.
