Good Morning,
I use my Lloyds Debit card all the time on eBay for purchases and shipping labels, however I have had my first return this week - I thnk he just didn't like the guitar 😉 . I tried to use my Lloyds bank card to refund the buyer, and the following steps happened:
Hang On .... message appears
3D secure window starts popping up
3D Secure window closes without showing anything
Then I just get a red bar with Refund failed.
Cleared browsing history and cookies etc
tried again.
same issue
tried on mobile, same issue. Tried on both platforms about 10 times, all failed with the Lloyds 3D secure not populating correctly. This was yesterday and today, so unlikely to be an issue with Lloyds.
In the end I added my other current account debit card with Kroo bank, and the worked fine.
Has anyone else had probelms with Lloyds Bank Debit cards and processing refunds?
Was just frustrating.
Cheers
Ian

Using a card to purchase is different than using it for seller fees.
Was this card an on-file payment method? eBay says if it didn't have Manage as an option, this could be because it is not eligible as a preferred payment method or has expired.

Individual banks apply different security functions to their cards, and the security functions for debit cards are often more stringent than for credit cards, afterall you do not want bounced checks.

You are currently asking the US .com board. Suggest asking on your home board as there are differences between the US and the UK site when it comes to payments/refunds.

The policy I posted is from eBay UK, and it is identical to the one here.
