Why cannot I give a Post Office Box as my address?

There is no reason why you can't use a PO box as your address, assuming you're asking as a buyer.

But there are some sellers who do not ship to PO boxes, keep that in mind.

If you're talking about Managed Payments, PO boxes are not allowed.

For what it's worth... even if you're registering for MP with your physical address, you can set the other Address fields (under your Account Settings/Personal Info/Addresses) to suit your needs. Good luck.

It was in response to my account that they asked for me to update since they are not using Paypal anymore to accept payments.

It was in response to updating my account since EBAY no longer has a working relationship with PAYPAL.
