Have to "love" Ebays joke payout system that was supposed to be "better"......So i get paid for a couple auctions last Wed. Everybody pays when they end. Does Ebay send the $$ Thursday? Nope. Hang on to it another 24 hours and make money off the interest. Sends $$ on Friday. So bank doesn't receive $$ till Monday....will be in account on Tuesday.
So I wait 6 days for my money??
6???
In what world is this more efficient that the days when buyers put your money in Paypal and you could INSTANTLY access it using your Paypal card?? In ONE day???
Just horrible.....

Maybe you should read up on the new payout options.

And maybe you should tell me something I DON'T Know.....I'm well aware of the "options" offered. And realize that it wouldn't have mattered unless EBAY offered an "instant" payout. Or even the next day.
Which they DON'T!
Gee...thanks anyways....

That's odd. When I make a sale ebay sends the money the next business day, and it's in my bank account usually by the end of the day.

Respectfully, if you were well aware of the way payouts work on eBay, then, if you felt it was unsuitable or inappropriate or you simply felt you'd not be able to wait so long, then why would you want to sell here?

Some thing you do not know:
They make no interest of of such.
And PayPal and eBay parted ways....
Oh and PayPal also floated the payment to you while it was processing may be some thing else you did not know...
Use of eBay is a choice, you do not have to use it if you do not agree to the policy's and payment system.

OK - I will tell you something you obviously do not know.
From a recent eBay update:
If you’d like your funds sooner, most sellers* now have an express payout option. Just link your VISA or Mastercard debit card to have all or part of your available funds sent to your bank account in minutes. Express payouts are available on demand or on your preferred schedule.
And I am in agreement with @doc-holmes

Well, that part of the complaint should be aimed at your bank. eBay has no control over the inefficiency of your bank. My payments get posted the same day the bank receives it. Which is the same day eBay sends it. If speed is of the essence then obviously you need a new (better) bank.

When I was employed, I had to work for two weeks before I ever saw any money. PayPal was nice, for sure, but they no longer exist on this platform for payments. Get over it. If your business model can't survive waiting a few days for payment, then you have bigger problems.

They don't earn any interest on the funds.

Yup, Wed pay would clear on Thur and Payout on Fri. Nothing new there other than the "payout" is faster than it was 3 years ago.
Just one of the things that happens when there is a Holiday. Happens several times a year. We have to relax, and just deal with it. One day is not the end of the world.
I'm on "weekly" payouts. Happens to me every Monday Holiday. If I am in a rush, and don't want to wait until the next "weekly" I can, in just seconds, switch to "daily", and then in seconds, once I am "payed out", switch back to ''weekly".
I know that is not your situation, but, it is what it is. No more "fronting" the payment while it is processing.
Things are no different than they were in Feb of this year.

It is just as efficient, but not as convenient as when PayPal fronted the money, which was a highly unusual situation that frankly spoiled eBay sellers. PayPal is no longer used by eBay because of the divorce from eBay a few years ago. So yes, occasionally we all have to wait a few days for payment to be in our bank account.
Ebay does NOT make money off the "float". When eBay says it's time to ship, that means your money is already secured, and only waiting on the standard industry delay for processing into your bank account by Adyen in this case, which is eBay's payment processor and is efficiently used by many well-known businesses in the world. Check them out.
There should be no reason why simple accepting, adjusting, and adapting of your business model cannot happen, as nearly all successful sellers here have smoothly done... You had to wait at least a week or two, or maybe even a month for your employer to get your pay into your bank account, didn't you? You accepted it and adjusted your life to it because it was your employer's procedure, not yours. Some independent contractors even have to wait for a couple months, and adapt because they have to. When I contracted with Hewlett-Packard, my best payment terms were net 60 - which meant I received payment between 2 and 3 months after my job was done. My payments from my Amazon sales are only twice a month.
Now, it is eBay's sandbox, and they make the rules. If you can't adapt to a few days' payment delay, including a few more over a weekend or holiday when bank processing is not done, then perhaps online selling is not for you.
You can adjust if you want to.
Cheers, Duffy
