Payouts on hold because we cannot verify your business information

Hello!

I went through the forum and did not see my specific issue and I'm hoping someone can help.

In April I moved from PA to VA.  I updated my all of my address information with eBay and gave supporting documents with my new address.  They also required that I send my tax returns to verify my business at that time.  Everything was ok after a day hold on my payouts.  Two days ago I updated my pickup address.  They put my payouts on hold & are requiring me to send them two years of tax returns with my current business name, address and EIN on them.  After speaking with several different "agents" and having a heated discussion where I explained I am not required to have an EIN as a sole proprietor, the agent came back on and told me I was correct, but I still needed the two years of tax returns with my business and current address.  He told me a bank statement will not be accepted for the address.  I told him there was no way that I could provide even one tax return with that since I moved in April 2023.  He again repeated that I needed those tax returns (the first agent told me the same thing).   I changed all of my info back to the address on my tax returns and we will see if that fixes it.  Has anyone else had this issue?  If so, how did you resolve it?

I notice a lot of feedbacks from the same buyers...can't really see what was sold to these same buyers.

I have seen a few sellers with this before where their account was put on hold.. It usually takes a little while before eBay checks anything strange. It's quite unusual to see the same buyers buying a lot of items at one time. That might have been the problem.

So it might not have been something that has happened recently.

Never heard about eBay needing tax returns. I have submitted a first page bank statement with the bank logo on it.

Thank you for your response.  I have the same buyers because they purchase charms from me and use my items to make their own lockets and other jewelry and sell it.  It has been that way for years.  If that is the issue, eBay should let me know that.

I'm having the same issue at the moment,  how did you end up getting it resolved?

Anyone have any luck fixing this? Ebay keeps sending me a notification to verify my business details over and over. I do and it says thank's you're all set then 4 minutes later I get the same email again saying account will go on hold if I don't verify the details.

Same thing just happened to me. I have changed nothing on my seller account, so I'm at a loss. Anyone ever get this resolved?1

In same boat, I updated my business address and I go Payments on hold, update your information message. 

I have send them several documents and always getting same responses about address is not matching.  I called customer service several times and every time to provide tax returns with new address, (note to self, never update anything with eBay till you file your taxes) How am I supposed to give you tax returns if I have not filed them yet with the new address? It like just reading the script. I did upload several documents to provide my business address, but I think that person reviewing it does not know how to read the documents. 2 weeks now and still on hold, I am getting really upset here as they are hold thousands of dollars hostage. How am supposed to pay my bills if I cant get paid. If they have a problem with business address then they should do a corporate search after all its public records. If this does not get resolved soon it might be time to take legal actions against them
