Payout Failed

The Transaction history shows that Payout to my bank account Failed today, no other explanation. Says they will try to resend the payout. It looks like they may be using a wrong information for my bank. I just talked with my bank CS representative and they said that there are no incoming transactions pending or otherwise from Ebay to my bank account. My bank account information in Payment Options doesn't have EDIT button either, so I can't adjust anything.

 

The Bank account information appears to be using the old 7 digit account number that shows on my checks, while the correct number contains 6 digits the bank rep said. I don't have any other checking accounts. Please advise how do I adjust the bank account information, or how do I see, why the payout failed. Maybe it didn't fail due to bank account info incorrect, but something else. I need some assistance here. Customer Service in ebay doesn't seem to exist at all. Nobody to chat with, nobody to call, no ticketing system, just the forums. Should I look for another internet seller? Ebay owes me $320...

Is this the first payout that you have been sent under Managed Payments? Didn't eBay verify your bank account when you signed up? Don't know what bank you are using but most that I have had experience with have at least 10 digit account numbers. 

Anyway, you can go to the bottom of this page and ask for a call back or a chat session with MP CS. Plan on a long wait time however, their swamped.

All of my account numbers are 10-digit, whatever that's worth.

Everyone else uses the same type of system.   PayPal is not well used in other markets.

 

Call eBay early Monday Morning if you can.  Then wait for the call back and fix the problem.

I ran into the same situation when I signed up for MP in December--3 weeks of "Payout failed--We will try again tomorrow."  No explanation, no link for help or explanation, no nothing.

 

Board advice was no help.  Despite what you read here over and over, it is not *always* necessary that the designation on the checking account match your eBay account name letter for letter.  My eBay account name and the name on the bank account are not perfect matches by a long shot.  That was not my problem.  And, I did not need to open a brand new checking account.  I did not contact my bank since, having had experience with how eBay software is tested before its loosed onto the site, I figured the problem was with eBay.

 

Your issue might not be the same as mine,  but if you aren't able to reach eBay CS on Monday (Monday is a national holiday) or at a later date, you might try Google search.  I entered a search term which included the words: eBay Managed Payments payout failed, and was taken to a page deep within eBay which had a nice red message saying that I had not provided my social security number to MP.  I had, of course, provided my SS# when I registered for MP, but eBay being eBay, somehow that nugget of information did not find its way into MP records.

If your bank has a really good security system it would just not allow MP system. You may want to try another bank.
