Do sellers see your messages? I won an auction and asked for a hold until I get paid Thursday. I've got patience for a response, but I'm not sure if I should cancel. Thank you.

buyer cant cancel an auction..buyers can only ask for it to be done

How are you paying? If with a credit card, you have some time before you are billed.

And, really, any questions asking for a favor should probably be asked before bidding.

Although you should have let the seller know you needed more time to pay BEFORE bidding or buying and asked whether the seller was okay with that, you still might be within the window to make payment before receiving a strike.

How long ago was the purchase? What date and time did the listing end?

Without knowing if the seller is setup for automatic cancelation on day 5, you have 4 days to pay, on day 5, the sale is canceled for nonpayment and buyer gets a strike. Even if it not turned on, good chance that is still how it will play out. 2 nonpayment strikes in a year, most sellers have it turned on, you will not be able to buy from them till those nonpayment strikes drop off. The seller can also add you to their block list and you would not be able to buy from them again. Sellers are not required to respond to messages, they may just be waiting for this to play out to cancel the sale.

It's all good now. I got a response finally and have until Thursday, which is perfect for me.
