Payment method

It’s not allowing me to add my debit card for a refund to a customer. I have my bank account for payouts and selling fees but it doesn’t give me an option to select it when I start the refund, I’m sure my card info is correct but it’s telling me it’s not valid

Payment method

Attaching a debit or credit card is for seller fees that do not come from payouts.

When you offer the buyer a refund, the amount will be paid from the total of your Available, Processing, or On Hold funds that is put in your checking account.

If you don't  have enough funds to cover the cost of the refund, the amount you're short will be paid from your linked checking account or an on-file payment method, thus you need to  attach your debit or credit card before issuing a refund.

Then when you issue the refund it is taken from the  buyer's payment that is Available, Processing or on hold. However, they charge you a .30 transaction fee  and that makes the buyer's refund short so eBay takes the .30 transaction fee from your debit or credit card that is attached to eBay.
