Buying by debit card through the ebay website, I am surprised by the message "Payment has failed. Check the payment information you have entered or select a different payment method" The order does not appear on my shopping list but the money was deducted from my bank account.
The seller replied that he didn't received any money.
Please advise how to proceed. I have made a purchase from the same card from the same seller on ebay last week and everything went well.

If there is a purchase made through eBay showing on your credit card statement or online transaction list it should have a reference number and often will include the OrderID.
You may have been making a purchase as 'Guest' which then has not been associated with your signed-in account history. eBay support can help with that.
I see only one example of this 'error' in the forum threads from 2021 and there was no follow up. This may indicate that the only folks who can answer this question are either the bank, eBay Payment support or both.
Banks of all kinds are aware of steps to provide a 'trace' on any transaction but the steps to do that are different with each bank so I cant help you there. Try the phone number on your card as a start.
The forums here are not eBay staff but instead volunteers.

You may want to contact your bank or card holder. They most likely can explain.
