Paying USPS Shipping Label by using linked Paypal credit card

When I set up the payment method for paying USPS Shipping Label in Managed Payments at very first time, I could pick one of credit cards from Paypal. Now I want to change from credit card A to credit card B by using Paypal. How do I do that?

1. I deleted credit card A in "Account Setting- Payment Information -Payment", left my bank account and credit card B untouched.

2. Under ebay representative's instruction, I tried to Unlink accounts in "Seller Account - Paypal Account", it brought me to "Watch List". I couldn't unlink Paypal account.

3. In Paypal, I changed preferred payment from credit card A to credit card B.

None of above works. I did No. 1 and No. 3 around two weeks ago. I called ebay twice, representatives were more confused than I was.  Thanks!

I had a similar (yet different) situation this week... yours might explain mine .

Yes... to set the CC to pay for labels, set it in your PayPal wallet to your 'Preferred' method of payment while shopping online.

Since you've already done that... it got me to thinking.

I set a CC as my 'Preferred' for a purchase I wanted to make online. No problem, all good.  A couple of days later, I printed a shipping label without changing my PP wallet's 'Preferred' back  to my bank account. (I was mad at myself for not  doing it.) But... when I checked, the shipping funds had come through my bank account... not billed to the 'Preferred' CC that I'd set.

This is what I wanted (so, yaaaaay!), but then it occurred to me (when I changed my wallet back) that maybe shipping can only come from your bank account now... no CCs.

We may be onto something... maybe others will advise. Oh, and if that's the new rule, I missed the memo, too.

You should be able to make card B your funding source for your Pay Pal account.

Shouldn't need to make any changes to your Ebay account or unlink the Pay Pal account.

Have you bought any labels using the pending funds?

Have a great day.

Not sure, but as long as the credit card is the funding source for your Pay Pal account, it should pull from the credit card.

I wonder if there is a delay in switching over when you change the funding source?

Have a great day.

Thank you, guys, for information!

Have you bought any labels using the pending funds?

No, I prefer charging my credit card.

If there is a delay in switching over when you change the funding source?

I don't think so. I switched over a while ago. More than any business days that bank, eBay, PayPal required.

Do you have two credit cards in PayPal? Succeeded switching over? As mtgraves mentioned above, he couldn't switch between the bank account and credit card.

I am thinking deleting credit card A and the bank account in PayPal. But it is kind of risky. I don't know how "Managed Payments" would respond to this change/deletion. I would probably end up not able to pay shipping label later.

We have our Paypal set up to pay from Paypal funds "first" and then to a specific credit card when using "paypal" as a Payment.

When we print labels each day, since there is no longer a Paypal balance (we used all of it for shipping), it auto bills my CC on file for the shipping labels.  Have not had any issues.  I like having it all on 1 credit card so shipping detail is handy and concise.

When I pay for something on e-bay, I have CCs stored and Google pay, where I can just choose from those in a list.  I do not use Paypal to pay for purchases and have not for a really long time.

This is a good idea. I guess you did it during initial setup when you paid for USPS shipping label at very first time.

Your initial setup allows you to switch cards when needed. It auto bills your card on file when Paypal balance is $0. Did you ever change Paypal balance to another payment method before?

I tried to set Paypal balance as preferred payment last night, USPS Shipping Label were still charged to my credit card A this morning when I printed a new label. So the problem is I can't switch to any other payment method now, including Paypal balance.
