Hello, I am a relatively new buyer on eBay as today I made my second order.
The seller has been on eBay since 2010. Perfect feedback about 99% and over four thousand positive reviews. Seems pretty reputable.
In the description of the item, they said that they only accepted PayPal. At the bottom of the page though, where the payment choices are listed, there was an option for debit card, which I use since I don't have a PayPal account.
Nevertheless I made the order and the payment option for my card went through and it shows as paid. Do I need to worry about this? The payment has been made even if not with PayPal so I won't have any problems right?
Should I contact the seller?

Accepting only PayPal is a carryover from days gone by.
Some just don't update.
Pay however you want. eBay handles it.

Sellers can't specify or dictate how you pay. It's against policy to say only PayPal. That could be perceived as them
wanting to do an off eBay payment with you having to send the payment to their name or email.

Don't worry about any of that. From what you've posted, it sounds like you shouldn't have any problems.
As you noticed at the end of the listing, the payment choices included a debit card which you apparently used. Those payment choices show the buyers' payment methods that are accepted by eBay.
Those payment choice options override anything the seller writes/types into the item description about "PayPal Only."
The Item Description is probably the least legally-binding portion of any eBay listing.
The item description might say the item is made of blue velvet, but you can easily see the item is a white cotton t-shirt. The item description could even say something ludicrous, like "The seller will only ship to Narnia", but somebody in Texas would probably be able to buy it and receive it in the mail.
"Should I contact the seller?" I wouldn't bother. All the documentation shows that you have paid through your debit card.

The seller is out of touch with the changing times because Sellers can't receive payments through PayPal. Buyers can use PayPal to pay or any other payment source as noted in the image below.

Thank you all so much for the replies. I'm glad everything is fine with my payment method. I'll keep it in mind and just wait for it to arrive.

No need to worry. In fact, you should always pay by credit card. You get added protection from the card company if anything goes wrong.
