On hold payments UK when selling

Something interesting. Bear in mind I have nearly 300 stars or rating points so am not a new buyer. Plus I have 100% rating.

I was pleasantly surprised when I realised recently there were no seller fees if I sell within country but there are some fees if selling internationally.

However I was very annoyed with them now putting both my recent payments on hold until delivered to buyer.

Note that on the international one it says they will release fees when it is sent to their global shipping hub in the UK but it turns out this is wrong and it will not be released until received by the buyer. So its a mistake they claim that they are fixing but feels like a con and blatant lie. All to hold the money so they make the profit from no doubt some account they have.

I guess they have to make money somehow but it feels like I need to never sell internationally so I get paid quicker.

Just thought I would put it here for info purposes. There may be others already mentioning this but this is my experience from the last week or so - Feb 2025.

Here is the policy on payment holds. Your feedback shows only one feedback in over 6 months, so it looks like you're an infrequent seller. Infrequent sellers may get their payments held.
