New to managed payments and shipping..Refunds..Please help.

Hello, thanks for your time.  Okay, for my listings I usually guesstimate my shipping cost, and always offer a refund if I am grossly over.  With this NEW system; if I am correct...after the auction, the buyer pays for the shipping they want??  For instance, say I set $15.95 for shipping cost and my item sells for $300..that would be $315.95..then when the buyer checks out they choose a $7.95 option, I would have to refund the buyer $8.00?  Sorry if this has been addressed or sounds strange..Thanks for your time.  This is my first time on the boards.  Thank you all.

If you have your listing set up with a fixed shipping cost of $15.95, that's what the buyer sees and what they will pay.  If your actual shipping cost is $7.95, you can then refund the rest through the Seller Hub.  Just be sure that the listing shows a fixed cost, not a calculated cost.  That said, if you do a partial refund for the shipping overage, you will not get the FVFs reduced, you'll still pay FVF on the full $15.95.

You may want to think about using the calculated shipping instead, just be sure your weight and dimensions or accurate when you list.
