What’s the logic on this? How does this benefit sellers? Are they that greedy that they want to hold onto our payments even longer so they can wring every penny they can in interest for their own benefit?

Where are you getting your information from?
What new payout schedule ?As far as I can tell sellers can select a schedule for payouts. I don't see anything to the contrary in my account.

From eBay itself. I was on the app and there was a little link that I clicked on and here is the text
February 2025
From February 2025, eBay will typically make the sales proceeds of private sellers available in eBay balance after the order has been successfully delivered, unless subject to a hold. These are the criteria we'll use to determine when an item has been successfully delivered:
Your funds will appear as Pending in the Pavments

I looked in the app I didn't see that there either. That sounds like it's for sellers in the UK. eBay doesn't have private seller designations in the US.
I had to chuckle at your last sentence " Your funds will appear as Pending in the Pavments" my head went straight to concrete pavement lol
ETA...check to see if you are in eBay.com (US) or eBay.co.uk (UK)

Ahh jeez you know what you’re right. I’m US based but I had my friends UK address showing at the time as I bid on items over there and he collects stuff for me. My bad! I’ll delete.

Yes it turns out I was logged into my friends UK address, I buy stuff there and he collects for me and then forwards it all cheaper via transglobal. My bad!

No worries.
Happy New Year and Happy selling!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that does that.
I'll be looking at a listing and change the country, then forget to change it back.
Look at another listing and nothing is right.

Haha yeah. I’ve found some great items from people who won’t ship to the states. I also reciprocate for many international friends as well. Take care!

Seems typical to me. **bleep** on their honest loyal sellers that make them thousands of dollars.
