The old way I can see IMMEDIATELY the customer paid. It went straight to paypal in minutes. This new system claims I am paid but not a thing shows up. I feel as though I need to wait to see for myself I ACTUALLY get paid before shipping.

I just sold my first item using MP and I agree, I'd like to see I got paid. I don't need the money, I'd just like to see a receipt or something that I was paid and that funds are on hold.

You got paid, it just needs to process like a check or debit payment. This takes a couple of days but will clear. Paypal simply fronted the money as soon as they got the notice. You can go ahead and ship using your pending funds.

It definitely did not take 2 days. I had to email ebay 2 times. Apologize to customer. FINALLY after 5 days I get paid. The customer "paid" April 27, which is not a holiday or weekend date. I made sure the customer knew EXACTLY the new policy. I will not ship until I have the money in my account. The old way was best. We the sellers should have been given a choice.

Pay for shipping immediately using your MP pending funds. Otherwise, you'll not last long on eBay.

I have had account since 2014. And nope. When I get paid, then and only then will I ship it out.

"We the sellers should have been given a choice. " Since you don't own eBay why would you think that. Paypal and eBay could not agree to a new contract. Rumor has it that it was mostly because Paypal wants to go in a different direction. That ship has sailed.

If you keep waiting 5 or more days to ship, the negs will start coming and you'll be gone. Most buyers don't care about your hesitancy. When they hit the pay button, they want the item shipped and you have not legitimate reason not to do so.

You can see a 'receipt' in your 'my ebay' click 'payments at top of page- the 'Pending' amount is your receipt.

Shipping can also use the 'customer $' they paid, out of that 'Pending Amount' so waiting for you to actually 'get the money' is NOT customer friendly- they paid today, you should ship.
