New activated for managed payments

Hello, trying to understand the new activated for managed payments that we have to do?

Im concerned about my account savings and I love my paypal cause its seperate.

I want to keep my paypal and i want all my payments to be brought to paypal to manage my earnings and to know right away that i have the funds there.

If they are in my savings that will make it hard to determin and lage the money i got from ebay .

Im so confused how this is helping me as a seller?

I dont want to wait for a payment if i sold an item, right now i dont except E checks nor personal.  Im scared that i wont have controll of when i get paid for my items especially when ebay says it will take all kinds of payments??

What does that mean for a seller?

Delays, waiting for payments to clear? Bitcoin?? Hell no and could somebody help me understand how this is good for a seller?

New activated for managed payments

No one, except eBay, ever said that this was good for the sellers, Oh, it might save you a penny or two, but you have to give up an awful lot in the way of speed and convenience in return.

That said, if you want to continue to sell here, you sign up for Managed Payments and forget about your money going to PayPal or receiving it in less than a week.

New activated for managed payments

EBay says that Managed Payments is good for sellers, and maybe it is--for some.  The fact that eBay is now forcing sellers to join MP says a great deal about the service.

Once you receive eBay's sign-up-for-Managed-Payments-or-else email, your only option is to sign up or stop selling on eBay.

There is an introduction to how MP works here:

Money will not go to your "savings".

A checking account is required t be linked to eBay for "payouts". Some sellers do a separate account for their eBay monies. Checking account name must be a match with the eBay account registration name.

eBay's funds processor (Adyen) will process the buyer's payment.

No more payments going to PayPal.

When the buyer pays the payment will be "confirmed".  Once confirmed eBay will show the item as "Awaiting Shipping".  That Confirmed is the same as when PP said "OK to ship".  Over 16 months in MP, and I have never had a buyer payment fail once it has been"confirmed".

You should then ship within your stated handling time.  If you wish to wait until funds are in your checking before you ship you need to have an extended handling time in the listing before selling.

Buyer payments generally take 1-2 days to "process". PP "fronted" the payment before it cleared. eBay/Adyen will not do that.

When the payment processes to "completed" it becomes available for "payout" the next business day.

Payouts take up to 4 days to show in your checking.  Mine are there the next "business" day after "payout".  I have payouts done weekly(done on Tuesdays)

You can choose "Daily", or Weekly. Default is Daily.

Daily does not mean the day the buyer pays, or every day. Daily means M-F(no Holiday payouts) but only when funds have been made available.

Shipping labels can be paid from "pending or available" funds, or from PP. The option to choose the payment method can be seen by scrolling down on the label page when it comes up.
