Been gone but just found cant sell unless i give Ebay my social security, Banking, first born, or your blocked and no Paypal, Seems now that mere 10.00 item you sell you will wait at min 5 days to get it to you. In the meantime the buyer wants, expects their items, after all they paid, but unlike immediate payment with paypal you will wait. I will not ship until the money is in MY hand for MY item and not held up, missing, lost in transition somewhere,
Can anyone tell me how their experience is going with this new platform and how do you ship if you have no money to ship the item untill you get paid. How comfortable are you not handling your own financial.

Managed payments seems to be working for those who are using it. Unfortunately, if you refuse, you can't sell.
They're "encouraging" you to use eBay shipping. They'll take the shipping cost out of your pending money.
You should be able to set it up for daily disbursement.
I personally hate the idea for a variety of reasons. I quit selling on another site due to their version. It seems if we want to keep selling on other companies' platforms we'll have to cave to their rules.

I've been on MP for a year and love it. Sure took getting used to though. My advice would be to read carefully through all the info available on site so that you understand exactly what to expect. Then, either accept it or not based on your business, but it's the new platform here and all that wish to stay and sell here have to use it.
If you are hesitant to ship before the money is in your bank, be sure to update your seller account to extend your handling time for orders, otherwise your account will be dinged for not meeting your ship time. But, customers don't like that, and once eBay notifies that it's OK to ship, then I would highly recommend going ahead with that and using eBay labels. Once you get that notification you will receive your funds after they have finished processing. If you check your Payments section in your account and click the link to see "All transactions", you'll see exactly when the payment for someone's order is going to be completed and become available to you. It works very, very well.
