NEW MANAGED PAYMENTS

I've been selling and buying on Ebay for almost 24 years so I've seen a lot of good and bad changes and this new managed payment system is BAD, I don't want to have to wait 2 days to be notified I have a payment and another 3-5 days to receive the funds, this is not O.K.  when I sell an item I want the payment as before when it was through Paypal, I believe they are benefitting by holding our funds for almost a week, think of the millions of sales and dollars their holding onto and profiting off of. I will post on my auctions that I only accept Paypal as they shoved this new system down our throats by giving us no other option if we wanted to continue to sell.  I don't see any benefit for sellers but a lot for Ebay and I will sell until they stop allowing then I'll go to another site as I don't like being pushed to accept something that only benefits Ebay.

Your buyers can still use PayPal to pay for the items that they buy from you when you are in MP...the thing is that when you are in MP, you cannot get paid through PayPal anymore b/c your payments would be going into your checking acct that you would have to provide to eBay along with your SSN, DOB and some other things.

When you are in MP...that is the only way that you can get paid.

NEW MANAGED PAYMENTS

I see GPay on some of the closed listings so it looks like you have already been pulled into Managed Payments.

The buyer's method of payment has absolutely no effect on where your funds will go.

And you have absolutely no control over how the buyer is allowed to pay.

So don't waste your time putting that in your listing. And since your listings are already set up to put the money in your bank account, if you're totally against that, you'd better roll up the carpet ASAP.

You were abusing eBay for most of those 2 decades, getting paid instantly, but held off giving eBay their fare [sic] share (which some of us already spent by then) for up to 30 days?

So it's not a shock that eBay got sick of it and finally managed paybacks on us -- with the Managed Paybacks system. What goes around goes round and round until the wheels fall off, as somebody used to say.

At that another site much larger than eBay, you only wait 2 weeks for a payout -- after the item has already been delivered, dusted, and done for 7 days.
